My earlier post about Henrik Zetterberg glossed over another of the good things about the Stanley Cup being awarded the Detroit Red Wings last night. Nicklas Lidstrom became the first European to captain a team to the Cup.
For years, racist idiots would call up the local sportstalk station and rag on Mats Sundin for being a bad captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs, mostly because he was a European, "And you know, no European player has ever won the Cup as captain of the team doing it."
Now one has. So SHUT UP you morons!
