I watched a horse race on Saturday. Third one in the last ten years. And, as a result, the Horse Owner's Association (or whatever they are called) have asked me to stop watching the fillies and stallions race completely.
It seems I only watch great horses lose in the Belmont Stakes. Smarty Jones, Funny Cide and Big Brown, each were supposed to the 12th Triple Crown winner. I watched each lose. And somebody saw a connection. I watch and the favourite loses. Verifiable 100 per cent of the time.
So, in the best interests of the sport, I will accede to their request. I have watched my last horse race. You're welcome.
